You've stumbled upon CLOSE TO HOME and we hope you enjoy your stay. CLOSE TO HOME is a high school roleplay that focuses more on the adults that run the school. Ueno High School is an average Ministry of Education-run public institution. But the teachers and faculty that work there are a wide variety from the normal, stereotypical and boring to the insane and just plain weird. As if the faculty and students of Ueno didn't have enough to contend with, the rest of the city of Taito, Japan comes calling with a fresh slice of life every day.

Ueno is a part of the historical district in Taito, Tokyo, and is a working class area rather than where the aristocrats and rich merchants live. Today the immediate area, due to its close proximity to a major transportation hub, retains high land value but just a short walk away to the east or north reveals some of the less glitzy architecture of Tokyo.

FIRST TERM

Students are feeling giddy as they walk into class for the beginning of the year, seeing all of their friends. We assume teachers have the same feeling, right?

The air is becoming crisper as the days go forward and the leaves are beginning to scatter across the sidewalk in shades of brown, yellow, and red. So grab your scarves and cardigans -- fall is here!

We're almost halfway there with our first month of being open! And it's been super awesome! Season change and a the last little bit of the first event are still running. The idea for CLOSE TO HOME was orginally thought up on GS. SEADRA and RISA ran with the idea after consulting and enlisting TOASTY. CTH's skin and most elements of it were made by the staff. Scripts used for user experience were gathered from IFCODE, proboards support or CSS TRICKS. Coding (HTML, CSS or JAVASCRIPT) was either made or edited strictly for CTH and may not be used without permission. Ideas, templates, and applications also belong to CTH and may not be reproduced. Anime and Manga faceclaims belong to their original creators. All character posts and ideas belong to the players.
